Standards for Editing and Publication

Standards of the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) can be purchased from American National Standards Institute, 11 West 2nd Street, New York NY 10036-8002, USA (telephone 212 642-4900). They can also be purchased online at the ISO website.

British standards can be purchased from the British Standards Institution, Linford Wood, Milton Keynes MK14 6LE, England, UK (telephone 44-(0)908-220-022); in the United States, they can be purchased from the American National Standards Institute. They can also be purchased online from British Standards Online.

In the United States, standards issued by the National Information Standards Organisation (NISO) can be purchased from NISO Press Fulfilment, PO Box 338, Oxon Hill MD 20750-0338, USA (telephone 800-282-6476, 301-567-9522; fax 301-567-9523). A NISO-developed and approved standard becomes an American National Standard after the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) verifies that the process for approval has met the ANSI criteria. American National Standards may be purchased online the ANSI website.

In Canada, the standards issued by the Canadian Standards Association and by ANSI, ISO, and other standards organisations can be purchased from the Standards Council of Canada, 45 O'Connor Street, Ottawa ON K1P 6N7, Canada (telephone 613-238-3222). Canadian Standards can also be purchased from the Canadian Standards Association online store.
