| Having Fun |
| Cambridge is a university city.
There is so much happening it is almost impossible
to give you an idea of the many options. For
an up-to-date look at what is happening, visit
the website of Varsity,
Cambridge University's magazine.
Studio's Student Services Manager produces the
Studio Newsletter every week to show you what's
going on in the school and in the Cambridge
area. Your Studio ID will give you discounts.
Studio Events
We offer at least five afternoon or evening
events each week. Those organised by the school
include the following:
Party/Disco/Karaoke evening
Punting on the River Cam
Tour of some of Cambridge's many
traditional pubs
Conversation with local English people
Videos: almost every day we show world class
films
Group trip to a local restaurant. Cambridge
has many
restaurants with food from all over the
world. (At extra cost.)
Group theatre or cinema visit (At extra cost.)
Health and fitness
Taking part in team sports during your stay is
a good way to improve your language and make new
friends. Whatever you like to do to keep fit,

Cambridge Entertainment
Cambridge is a modern city as well as an historic
one, with first class shopping, restaurants,
pubs, galleries,
museums,
classical music, theatre and cinema.
On the music scene, Cambridge's young student
population means that there are plenty of discos
and live music. Two world-class venues, The
Corn Exchange and The
Junction, attract international stars such
as Beck, Laurent Garnier, Elastica, Blur, Pulp
and Oasis.
Almost every evening there is an International
Student Night in one of Cambridge's many
clubs. We have the tickets to get you free
entry.
Excursions
Every weekend we arrange at least one full day
excursion to places of interest in Britain.
Longer trips are offered to other parts of Britain
