These highly structured programmes offer you preparation for one of the following Cambridge Certificates:

FCE      First Certificate in English
CAE      Certificate in Advanced English
CPE      Certificate of Proficiency in English

The examinations are held in Cambridge during the last week of the course. If you wish to take the exam, we will help you to complete the application and undertake the entire administrative process on your behalf.

The Cambridge exams are among the most widely recognised English Language tests in the world. They are set by the University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate (UCLES). For more information, contact www.cambridge-efl.org.uk

  • FCE is at the Intermediate level and success indicates a good working knowledge of English.
  • CAE is a high-level qualification. It focuses on the English needed for professional or study purposes with an emphasis on reading skills and writing suitable for the workplace.
  • CPE is the most advanced of the UCLES examinations. Success in this exam indicates a high degree of competence and linguistic sophistication. Many British universities accept CPE as part of their entry requirements.
  • The Cambridge Courses are structured and demanding. In addition to the 28 lessons in the classroom, considerable self-study, using our Learning Centre, is required.

The aim of the courses is to
  • give you a clear understanding of English grammar systems and how to use them
  • increase both active and passive knowledge of vocabulary
  • improve listening skills
  • increase your ability to speak in different situations
  • encourage and develop reading skills
  • develop writing skills, in particular for narrative description and letters

  • The courses attract hard-working, motivated students who have examination success as their clear and specific goal.
